IAM4RE.eu
INTELLECTUAL ASSET MANAGEMENT FOR RESEARCH AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
- Description
In today’s fast-paced innovation landscape, intangible assets are key to turning research and innovation (R&I) results into real impact. Yet, many public research and academic institutions across Europe still struggle to unlock their full value. IAM4RE.eu supports the EU’s drive for open science, sustainable innovation, and better valorisation of public research – advancing the goals of the European Research Area and complementing initiatives like the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and research impact standardisation.
Building on the European Commission’s Guiding Principles for Knowledge Valorisation, IAM4RE.eu promotes a comprehensive approach to Intellectual Asset Management, based on a broader understanding of intellectual assets, going beyond patents and licences to include data, software, methodologies, know-how, standards, and more.
The project seeks to empower European research organisations and academic institutions with practical tools to better harness and valorise their knowledge assets.
By developing a comprehensive support framework, the project will help institutions integrate IAM into their daily operations and long-term strategies, promoting sustainable innovation and amplifying their societal and economic contributions.
