The German Nationale Kontaktstelle (NKS) Bioökonomie und Umwelt (National Contact Point for Bioeconomy and Environment), together with the European IP Helpdesk, coordinated by EURICE, is organising a webinar to help applicants prepare for the upcoming Horizon Europe Cluster 6 and EU Mission calls for 2026–2027.
As part of the webinar series "Gut vorbereitet für die Deadlines" ("Well Prepared for Upcoming Deadlines"), the session "IP in Horizont Europa – Der Umgang mit Geistigem Eigentum aus HEU-Projekten" ("IP in Horizon Europe – Managing Intellectual Property in HEU Projects") will provide practical guidance on intellectual property (IP) and IP rights (IPR) in Horizon Europe projects. Delivered in German, the webinar will feature experts from the European IP Helpdesk, who will share practical recommendations and answer key questions on how to effectively manage intellectual property throughout the project lifecycle.
Participants will gain insights into topics such as:
- Why is IP management important in Horizon Europe collaborative projects?
- What is the difference between IP and intellectual property rights (IPR)?
- Why is it important to address IPR already during the proposal preparation phase?
- Which project partner owns which project results?
- How can Open Science be reconciled with the protection of IP?
The webinar is particularly relevant for researchers, innovators, companies, public authorities, and other organisations planning to submit proposals to the upcoming Horizon Europe Cluster 6 and EU Mission calls for 2026–2027.
The webinar will take place on 17 August 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30 CEST.
Participation is free of charge; however, registration is required. Further information and registration are available here.
