REDDIE Project Launches Webinar Series on Real-World Data and Emulated Trials

The REDDIE project is excited to announce a two-part webinar series focused on advancing the use of real-world data (RWD) in clinical research. These events aim to foster collaboration and spark innovation by connecting researchers, clinicians, data scientists, and other stakeholders across the healthcare data landscape.

The webinars will spotlight key methodological challenges, emerging statistical techniques, and powerful new tools developed as part of the REDDIE initiative. Participants will gain insights into how real and emulated trials can be enhanced through RWD, and how the REDDIE RWD Dashboard can support data exploration and discovery.

Webinar 1

Title: Challenges and Opportunities with the Estimands and the Estimation in Real and Emulated Trials
Date: May 6, 2025
Time: 10:00–11:30 CET
Register: bit.ly/REDDIE_Webinar_WP4

This session will delve into statistical methodologies such as Targeted Maximum Likelihood Estimation (TMLE) and provide an overview of RWD analysis within the REDDIE project.

Speakers:

  • Martina Radanović (RISE) – Introduction to REDDIE
  • Dr. Prof. Christian Torp-Pedersen – RWD Analysis in REDDIE
  • Dr. Prof. Thomas Alexander Gerds (NOH) – TMLE in Real and Emulated Trials

The session will conclude with an open discussion and Q&A.

Webinar 2

Title: From Data to Discovery: Introducing the REDDIE RWD Dashboard
Date: May 19, 2025
Time: 09:30–11:00 CET

This webinar introduces the REDDIE RWD Dashboard, an interactive tool designed to explore diabetes-related RWD sources and metadata. Attendees will also be introduced to an upcoming registry description paper.

Speakers:

  • Martina Radanović (RISE) – Introduction to REDDIE
  • Dr. Prof. Pratik Choudhary & Jonah Thomas (ULEIC) – RWD Dashboard Presentation
  • PD Dr. Stefanie Lanzinger (UULM) – Comparison of European National Diabetes Registries

An open discussion and Q&A will follow the presentations.

We warmly invite all professionals interested in real-world evidence, health data systems, and methodological innovation to attend these insightful sessions. Join us in shaping the future of clinical research.
