New EIT Health Project Develops Life-Saving Mobile Solution EmergencyEye®

The new product aims to improve support in emergency situations and health crises

Started on 1 January 2018, the research project RAMSES (Remote Access to Medical Information on Smartphones during Emergencies and Health CriseS) aims to develop the life-saving product EmergencyEye®. EmergencyEye® will enable people in health crises and emergency situations to share more comprehensive information including geo information and video live streams with professional service organisations and thereby receive timely and improved support and guidance.

To get an impression of how it works, watch the EmergencyEye® YouTube video.

The project is supported by EIT Health for 12 months. Coordinated by Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the consortium consists of 11 European partners including Corevas GmbH & CO.KG, RWTH Aachen University, the University of Cologne and the University Hospital Cologne, the Catholic University of Leuven and the Interuniversity Microelectronics Center in Leuven (imec).

The RAMSES consortium will kick off its activities with a meeting on 17 February 2018. The meeting will be combined with a Hackathon at the Nürburgring, Germany. Please register for the Hackathon here.

Eurice supports the management of the RAMSES project, being in charge of the administrative, financial and contractual management.
