Making Room for the New: Groundbreaking Ceremony for Eurice’s Future Head Office
With a groundbreaking ceremony held on November 3, 2017, Eurice officially launched the construction works on its future head office located at Sophie-Krämer-Straße 17 in St. Ingbert/Saarland. On an area of 800 square meters, a three-floor building will be constructed within the next months. The new headquarters will provide plenty of space to accommodate the currently around 30 staff members based in Saarbrücken, who are set to move into the new premises in summer next year.
The new building in St. Ingbert marks another milestone in the history of the company, and at the same time reflects Eurice’s strong commitment and ties to the Saarland. Despite the opening of another company site in Berlin and an additional representation office in Brussels in the recent past, the company has remained deeply rooted in the Saar region.
"The Eurice success story started here, and I think being based in Saarland has proven to be a win-win situation over the years", said Jörg Scherer, founder and CEO of Eurice. "Saarland has a vibrant research and innovation landscape with the university and numerous excellent research institutions as well as innovative companies. The great opportunities that come with EU funding and cross-barrier cooperation have been recognised by these local players and policy at a very early stage. In turn, we have been able to use our know-how, experience and expertise to successfully initiate and support multiple EU-funded initiatives with participation of Saarland-based businesses and institutions."
Eurice will continue to shape and strengthen the region as an attractive environment for science and novel ideas – also by creating additional jobs at the new location in St. Ingbert.
