Eurice part of the European SME Assembly 2021

The SME Assembly is the most important event for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe. It presents a unique opportunity to network and connect with other players of the enterprise ecosystem. Each year, the event is jointly organised by the European Commission and the country holding the presidency of the Council of the EU. The 2021 SME Assembly is being held from 15 to 17 November 2021, together with the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

In close collaboration with the European Commission and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, Eurice co-organised a masterclass on „IP support for SMEs“. The interactive workshop emphasized the role of IP in the SMEs’ business creation and development processes. Start-ups and SMEs need to better understand the merits of IP management and how to become more competitive by leveraging IP assets.

After a short presentation, the two panelists (among them Eurice MD Jörg Scherer) entered into a lively discussion with representatives of major European SME stakeholders, such as ministries and business organisations.
