EURICE Expands Berlin Office to Strengthen Collaboration and Innovation Ecosystem Links
EURICE has doubled its office space in Berlin, creating a modern environment for focused work, project meetings, workshops and cross-team exchange in the German capital. The expansion marks the next step in the development of the Berlin team and supports the continued growth of the EURICE Group.
Future8 and INFINIRA Ventures are now also represented at the Berlin office, bringing complementary perspectives together under one roof. This shared presence strengthens the connection between collaborative research and innovation management, venture building and societal value creation. As one of the Group’s key locations, the expanded Berlin premises support on-site collaboration among EURICE, Future8 and INFINIRA Ventures while contributing to a wider, cross-border Group setup that also includes RISE in Croatia.
“The expansion of our Berlin office reflects our long-term commitment to this location and to the continued development of the EURICE Group. Our offices are more than workplaces. They are environments where teams are built, ideas are developed, and knowledge is shared every day,” says Jörg Scherer, chairing the EURICE Group. “Under Jakob Haardt’s leadership, the Berlin team has grown from 8 to 25 colleagues since 2020 and has become an important pillar of our organisation. Our collaboration across sites is already strong. However, the additional space adds another layer by creating even more opportunities for personal exchange — helping us move forward together.”
A strategic hub in Berlin’s innovation ecosystem
The expanded office also underscores EURICE’s position within one of Europe’s most vibrant innovation ecosystems. Berlin offers a dense network of universities, research organisations, start-ups, policy actors, investors and technology transfer communities – an environment that closely reflects the EURICE Group’s role in connecting science, society, policy and business.
“Berlin provides an exceptional setting for connecting scientific excellence with policy, entrepreneurship, investment and market perspectives,” says Jakob Haardt, Head of the Berlin Office. “With colleagues from EURICE, Future8 and INFINIRA Ventures working more closely together on site, we can develop more integrated approaches to partnership-building across this ecosystem – translating them into collaborative projects, forging strategic knowledge valorisation pathways and cross-sector innovation with European relevance.”
This milestone in the team’s development also reflects a core belief of the EURICE Group: successful innovation is driven by collaboration. At a time when many knowledge-intensive organisations are reducing physical office space, EURICE continues to invest in a working environment that enables people to meet, exchange ideas and create value together – within and beyond the Group.
