Coordinator presents IMPROVE project at the Factories of the Future Conference 2016
IMPROVE Coordinator, Prof. Dr Oliver Niggemann, of Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe, will be attending Factories of the Future 2016: Materialising technologies 4.0, in Brussels this September (15th & 16th) and present the project at the occasion of the conference.
Factories of the Future 2016 brings together leading experts of the manufacturing industries to discuss and learn how the latest innovations are transforming Europe’s manufacturing industry.
The event will showcase the latest achievements of European research funded under the € 1.15billion EU-funded Public-Private Partnership (PPP) on Factories of the Future (FoF). Priority areas for future research and development will also be discussed and debated, making the event of paramount importance for all players in European manufacturing.
Prof. Niggemann coordinates the on-going (2015-2018) Horizon 2020 project IMPROVE (Innovative Modeling Approaches for Production Systems to Raise Valiadatable Efficiency) which is developing a virtual FoF providing services for user support focused on optimisation and monitoring.
Key sessions at Factories of the Future 2016 include ‘Digital Technologies & the Factory Floor’ and ‘Digital Technologies & Networked Factories’, and so Prof. Niggemann can explore a great deal of research that complements the ongoing developments at IMPROVE.
