SYSCID kicks off with a successful three day meeting in Kiel
Following the proverb “April showers bring May flowers”, the SYSCID consortium held a productive first project meeting which despite a mixture of wind, rain, sun and even snow allows for a highly optimistic outlook towards the first year of collaborative work. The group was invited by SYSCID coordinator Philip Rosenstiel to the Center for Molecular Biosciences (ZMB) in Kiel, which was a perfect venue located on the university campus next to the Kiel Botanic Garden.
The meeting schedule included a combination of presentations and outbreak sessions, in which key tasks were discussed and the first action points could be fixed. The program was rounded off by a boat trip along the Kiel Fjord and a reception in the Zoological museum, giving the partners the opportunity to get to know each other and to explore Kiel.
After two and a half days of exchange and fruitful discussions, the consortium partners headed back taking home encouraging ideas and happy memories.
As part of the multinational SYSCID consortium, Eurice supports the overall project management and coordinates the exploitation and communication activities. These include strategic development, innovation monitoring and implementation of various communication actions such as the setup and maintenance of the project website and the design of dissemination materials.
