DEEP
DEEP - Deutsches Epigenom Programm
- Description
The German epigenome programme will establish a coordinated network for interdisciplinary epigenome research in Germany. DEEP will generate 70 human and mouse reference epigenomes in primary cell/tissue types in normal and diseased states. A major goal of DEEP is to functionally interpret the reference epigenomic data and to gain new insights into epigenetic regulation and dysregulation of cellular programmes in complex diseases.
DEEP contributes innovative epigenome research data to IHEC, the 'International Human Epigenome Consortium', and is the central partner representing Germany in this global initiative.
